Served sweet or savory, crepes are delicious for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Whether you’re in the mood for crepes filled with chicken and cheese or chocolate and strawberries, several local restaurants serve some of the best in town. The eateries serving up crepes near our Jessup apartments include:

Matthew’s 1600

Step back in time at Matthew’s 1600. Constructed in 1862, its building has a “long history in the hospitality trade as the Terminal Hotel.” Over the years, many visitors have reported ghost sightings. Some claim to have seen Civil War-era soldiers, while others say they spotted a woman in a long dress and apron. The building became the home of Matthew’s 1600 in 2004. The restaurant is family-owned and operated and boasts many loyal customers. For dinner, enjoy the chicken crepes. They feature ham, roasted chicken cream sauce, and more.

Honey Bee Diner

Nestled in nearby Glen Burnie, the Honey Bee Diner is a local legend. It’s open around the clock and can satisfy nearly every craving day or night. Be sure and sample the Hawaiian crepes. They’re stuffed with granola and yogurt and your choice of fruit. Round out your meal with crispy bacon and home fries.

Sofi’s Crepes

When Ann Costlow decided to leave her job as a stockbroker, she became a galley cook on The Pride of Baltimore. Today, she proudly owns Sofi’s Crepes. Ann named the restaurant in honor of her dog. She creates the crepes from scratch and only uses the finest ingredients. Sweet offerings include Nutella, apple crisp, and s’mores. For a savory meal, try the Kevin Bacon. It features cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and turkey covered with Thousand Island dressing.

After sampling some crepes, enjoy racing around a nearby go-kart track in Jessup. Finally, if you would like to call our apartments near Columbia, MD home, please contact us. Our team will help you discover everything The Elms at Shannon’s Glen has to offer.
